Beyond the essays, I really liked NYU's short answer questions; they really gave me an opportunity to add my voice to the application.

I had a GPA of 3.3 and an ACT score of 31, which was nothing special for NYU. In fact, it was below average for the accepted students. So even if your grades aren't that great, you can still get in if you write an amazing essay and have an awesome portfolio (if you apply to tisch). Go for it!

Accepted to the Liberal Studies program, which basically means they couldn't accept me to the program I applied for, but didn't want to reject or waitlist me. The program is essentially two years of liberal arts study, then continuation in the college I applied to. I've heard from a few people that the LSP program sucks, so I can just about guarantee I'm not gonna go. It actually worked out better this way, because theres no way I could ever afford this place.

As far as film schools go, NYU's is probably second to USC's for me. But I'll have to see where I am accepted. Also, as for having a 94% chance? Not for NYU's film program. I am hearing that NYU's Tisch School of the Arts is some kind of magnet for prospective filmmakers. Ever hear of M. Night Shyamalan, Oliver Stone, or Martin Scorsese? Yeah. Totally not getting in.

It's in the city (which I moved away from and miss very much) and has a plethora of internship opportunities. It runs a pretty close second to American University. I figure if I get my SAT scores up I stand a pretty good chance of being accepted.

NYU used to be my dream school, but I'm not too sure now. The sticker price and lack of campus scares me off a bit. That being said, having the city as my campus would be great and I'd have no limits as to what I wanted to do. So many doors would be opened to me and I would have a bright future after graduation.
