I am truly blessed. God have blessed me. All I can say is that ACT/SAT scores isn't everything. School transcripts, taking challenging classes (AP/Honors/IB, etc), extracurricular activities, A good essay, and picking teachers that likes you for recommendations can be more important than test scores, I am a living proof of that. Today is 03/06/10 and today is a GREAT DAY.

Great science school, everything outside academics sucks. The social scene isn't bad, it's horrible, city isn't too hot either, i knew i would never be happy there so i didnt even bother applying knowing the long odds stacked against me.

My uncle got his engineering degree here. That doesn't matter for admissions, but it explains why I have an interest. Sure, Ithaca's cold, but I'd make my uncle proud, haha. In terms of my school.... about four to six students are admitted and attend every year.

Wouldn't have gone here even if accepted, just applied because of Ivy tag. Honestly assumed I would get in and frankly am shocked I didn't. Still would have gone to Duke if accepted to both.

I applied to the school of Industrial and Labor Relations. I got a letter from Governor Crozine and a letter from the director of Governor's School which is a very well respected state sanctioned program that I attended. As well, I have discussed my chances with a professor on the admissions comitee and he likes my chances. I had a good interview and I also had a family friend write an excellent alumni Rec. I had 7 recs in all. They are all strong( I know everyone says that). I applied ED and have visited twice.

The interviewer told me that the interview counted very little, if any, in the admissions process. It was a more of a "persuasion" type of interview.
