We visited spent 1000.00, interviewed , toured, was told basically get an 1800 or your SAT... had a couple of serious extenuating circumstances and have unweighted GPA with no class rankings.. and attedn a top 10% highschool in the country.. , took two languages , a year ahead on all academic classes , 18 honors and or AP classes... and got rejected.. which is actually fine because their aid packages suck and they are too far away from where we live.. but as much as they say on their website they want students that challenge themselves I have a hard time believing it.. My bigger issue is they should have not made it seem like it was a definite at the interview They jsut should have said it might go either way

What if you dont have a class rank? How do students get the credit they deserve for taking more difficult classes?

Many rely much more heavily on the unweighted gpa. Since class rank usually takes into account gpa weightings, the combination of class rank and unweighted gpa is often very informative.
