remember that this site is basing its predictions off of past admittances. so those percentages correlate to what happened for applicants with similar statistics, not that legacy brings you down at all (which of course it doesn't.)

It's completely possible. I'm a freshman living in one of the smallest dorms, and on our floor more than half of the students are legacies, some 3rd gen.

If I remove my legacy, my chances go from 80.2% to 21%... can anyone explain this? My parent who went to Brown doesn't donate large sums of money to the school or anything, so I really doubt a legacy would make that much of a difference....
