Both paternal grandparents attended (school of nursing, dermatology residency, fellowship) and are continued donors; grandmother was first person from her country (Trinidad) to graduate from there.

Declined offer of admission. I thought I would like it here, but, after visiting, I realized that the school's focus (medicine and research) was not mine. Kind of sad it didn't work out.

I was shocked. But three factors: low(er) GPA, low SAT Science scores (570 and 530, I applied for Biology), and three errors in short answers or essays. Oh well.

LOVE THIS PLACE. I took pre-college there in summer '06. I've lived 10 minutes from it my whole life. It wasn't the place I really wanted to go in the end though. I did toy with the idea of applying early. Its really amazing but really competitive in a nasty way as well.
